A SACRED TRUST: GETTYSBURG PERSPECTIVES

 

 

Held each year during the anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, this event runs for several days and features presentations by living historians, authors, National Park Service Rangers, Licensed Battlefield Guides and musicians.

A Sacred Trust: Gettysburg Perspectives was held for the first time in July 2004. Participants at the first event included Jeff Shaara (Gods and Generals), D. Scott Hartwig (supervisory historian at Gettysburg National Military Park) and renowned Civil War historian Ed Bearss.

The CycloramaThis past July 2009 was the fifth annual Sacred Trust lecture series and it was held on the grounds of the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. Ken Burns (America's Best Idea: The National Parks) was the special guest presenter on July 3.

 

 

Check back frequently for the schedule for the 2010 Sacred Trust schedule.  A Sacred Trust: Gettysburg Perspectives will be held from Friday, July 2 - Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center.
