This is the place where so many soldiers fought for their beliefs. And this is the place where, today, thousands of people respond to the call to preserve Gettysburg’s hallowed ground for future generations.

The Gettysburg Foundation is the nonprofit partner of the National Park Service at Gettysburg, working with the Park Service to enhance preservation and understanding of the heritage and lasting significance of Gettysburg. The Foundation works with the National Park Service to preserve land, monuments and artifacts and to rehabilitate the land, returning the ground as closely as possible to its 1863 appearance.

Find out how you can help us preserve this hallowed ground.
